This scholarship was created by the members of the Clarence Chamber Annual Awards Gala Committee who would like to recognize and honor the works of Robert A. Geiger in the town of Clarence. Bob, as most people know him, has given so much of himself to our town and its community members.

The Clarence Chamber of Commerce is looking to offer a $500.00 scholarship to a student that is a current Clarence High School senior that has been accepted to an accredited higher education program for the next academic year, 2026-2027.

Criteria of Scholarship 

  • Someone who shows characteristics of who Bob is and what he believes in, A True Community Hero! 
  • Student who goes beyond what is expected in contributing to the quality of life in our community/school. 
  • Works many hours (most times without getting paid) to attend and contribute to committees, clubs and task forces. 
  • Works hard to start and/or support an initiative that brings a program or idea to reality while improving the quality of life for the town/school. 
  • Student thinks of the community and their surroundings before themselves. 
  • Committed to making things better for everyone. 
  • Student should be perceived as selfless, a giver, and community minded
